There are often dramatic stories created along with the question, “What would you do if you saw a shark?” One guy always says, “I’d punch him in the face.” Then the stories continue. Although an attack is highly unlikely, it is a great way to spook friends, family, and the occasional small child. To give you an idea, 12,000 people die each year from falling down the stairs. Sharks attack less than 100 humans a year worldwide. Many wouldn’t want to think about coming face to face with a shark, except for one brave fisherman and his sidekick. In this fantastic drone footage, you will see an intense struggle between man and shark. One man stands in the water with his hands on the fishing line. The shark wants nothing more than to break free from the fisherman. You’ll see the shark pulling away from the man and jerking around. It’s almost like when your dog is on a leash and sees a squirrel. They pull you with all their strength and sometimes can cause your feet to drag with them. This guy, however, is in water with his feet on slippery sand. He is trying to pull the shark in using the line and all of his upper body strength. As he is drawing it in, he is getting closer to the shoreline. The man holding onto the shark by a line proves to be strong and experienced. There is another man in a blue shirt who is waiting along with around 50 bystanders to help him bring the hammerhead shark out of the green water. The shark is starting to resist less and less because he used all of his energy trying to resist. As he tries, the man takes full advantage and finally makes it to the shoreline. Once he’s almost out of the water, he attempts to grab the shark’s tail. Now just imagine being one of the bystanders standing close by and watching this intense, fierce battle. The shark was having none of that. He rallies with a strong second wind. As he tries to flee full charge, he only makes it a short distance and still has the line secured in his mouth. The guy in the blue shirt attempts to help but isn’t as capable as the leading man holding the line. With as many people standing around, it’s a surprise they didn’t attempt to help him pull in this great fish. The shark is almost captured, and the men are wearing thin.
